Description: 10 y/o female Isabella Smith
Status: Burn, with blisters, on hand and fingers upon arrival – Pain level 9-10
Female pulled hot bowl of soup out of microwave. Fluid scalded skin as she put it on counter top, severely blistering hand with a 6mm diameter blister. Secondary blisters on small finger, with red blotches covering 80% of blistered hand and 20% of other hand.
Treatment: Patient crying upon entering office. Hand had wet cloth on it. SpectraBrite Wound Care was applied with Light paddles on red skin, and wand on the blister. Within 2 minutes of application patient said pain left. Large blister was gone within 18 hours. Redness visible only where blister had been previously.
